The temperature is getting higher and higher, and the weather is so bad it's making us feel exhausted from the summer heat.

Today, we will introduce the largest fireworks festival in Shiga Prefecture, the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival.

This fireworks festival takes place every August and attracts around 30 spectators.

This year's event will be held on the following dates:

October 2025, 8 (Fri), 8:19–30:20 (JST)
*Will proceed in light rain but will be cancelled in case of stormy weather

If you come by train, you can reach the venue in about 15 minutes on foot from Otsu Station on the JR Biwako Line.

Please be aware that Otsu Station will be very crowded on the day.

I've been to this fireworks festival once, and it's truly spectacular.
