Introducing the current state of AZIN
As always, Azin Blog,
Thank you for visiting AZINNNOW!
Today's guest is Takeshita from Azinn Fukui.
Before we knew it, we were nearing the end of September and only about a week until October.
The mornings and evenings have been cooler recently, and there are more and more days when the daytime temperature drops below 30 degrees.
The cool autumn weather is just around the corner, not just on the calendar, but can also be felt physically!
It's a nice feeling for me, who doesn't like the heat.
But now that the summer event is over and the end of 2025 is in sight, it feels a little sad...
Well, what I'd like to introduce this time is,
Introducing recommended spots in Fukui for the autumn foliage season🍁
First of all,
[Fukui City] Yokokan Garden, a scenic spot

A small miniature garden located about a 10-minute walk from JR Fukui Station.
Within walking distance from our hotel,
Many people head towards Yokokan from the Asuwa River embankment.

[Eiheiji Town] Eiheiji Temple

Eiheiji Temple is one of the most popular tourist spots in Fukui.
I get the impression that a lot of people go there during the autumn foliage season.
When the maple leaves around the temple gate turn a bright red, they make a great photo.
If you use the Eiheiji Liner, a shared bus that runs directly from JR Fukui Station, you can easily get there without having to transfer.
Also, "Leave the geography of Eiheiji Town to us!"
It may be a good idea to arrange a taxi through the taxi company Matsuoka Kotsu.

If you ask the hotel front desk staff, they will make the arrangements for you.
If you are out and about, you can call this number and make the arrangements yourself.

[Katsuyama City] Fukui Great Buddha

Its official name is Qingdao Mosque.
It is home to the largest seated Buddha statue in Japan.
The Great Buddha of Fukui is a temple known only to those in the know.
Nearby are Ski Jam Katsuyama, the Dinosaur Museum, and Katsuyama Heisenji Temple.
The towns are surrounded by mountains, so we recommend visiting them all during the autumn foliage season.
If you have the time, it might be worth going along with it.

[Ono City] Echizen Ono Castle

The best place to see autumn leaves in Fukui Prefecture is Karikomi Pond...
The road to Karikomi Pond is currently closed due to a landslide and is undergoing construction work.
Instead, I personally recommend Echizen Ono Castle.
Why not go and get some exercise?

[Echizen City] Gotanjoji Temple

This is the spot I, Takeshita, most recommend to those coming by car.
It is also known as the Cat Temple, and rescued cats roam the grounds.
It's on the mountainside, so the air is pleasant.
It would be nice to feel the autumn air on your skin and relax by watching the cats.

There are also many other recommended spots for the autumn foliage season, such as Lake Kuzuryu and Echizen Ceramic Art Park.
The autumn foliage season in Fukui usually runs from late October to late November.
(It seems like the speed at which the leaves change color varies depending on whether you're in an urban or mountainous area.)
"It's holiday season, so I want to go on a trip."
"I'd prefer a quiet place"... you're in front of the screen!
Why not try sightseeing in Fukui Prefecture?
This has become quite a long post, but thank you for reading to the end.
This time, Takeshita from Az Inn Fukui brought you the report! (^-^)ノシ
