Well, crab fishing season opened on November 6th!

The fishing season varies depending on the crab.

Echizen crab (male snow crab) November 6, 2025 - March 20, 2026

◆Snow crab (female snow crab) November 6th, 2025 to December 31st, 2025

◆ Water crab (male crab with soft shell immediately after molting) February 19th, 2026 to March 20th, 2026

The crab meat is delicious, of course, but the crab miso, drizzled with soy sauce and eaten with hot rice is also incredibly tasty.

The Echizen Crab Festival is being held again this year, so please come and try some delicious Echizen crab!
