(Application of these Terms and Conditions)

Article 1:

Accommodation contracts and related contracts concluded by our hotel

Matters not provided for in these terms and conditions shall be governed by law or custom.
Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel may enter into special provisions insofar as such special provisions do not violate the spirit of these Terms and Conditions or comply with laws, regulations and customs.

(Refusal to Provide Accommodation)

Article 2:

The Hotel may refuse to provide accommodation in the following cases:

  1. When the application for accommodation is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  2. When the Hotel is fully booked and no rooms are available.
  3. When the person seeking accommodation is deemed to be in danger of engaging in conduct that will violate the laws and regulations or public order or good morals in regard to his/her accommodation.
  4. When the person seeking accommodation can be clearly be regarded as carrying an infectious disease.
  5. When a special burden is requested in relation to the accommodation.
  6. When it is impossible to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, malfunctions of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
  7. When a person requesting lodging is heavily intoxicated and behaves in a manner that is a significant nuisance to other guests.

(Notification of name, etc.)

Article 3:

When the Hotel accepts an application for accommodation (hereinafter referred to as an "Accommodation Reservation") prior to the date of stay, the Hotel may request that the Applicant make notification of the following particulars within a specified deadline:

  1. The address, name, gender, nationality and occupation of the guest.
  2. Any other matters deemed necessary by the Hotel.

(Deposit)

Article 4:

When the Hotel accepts your application for a reservation for accommodation, it may specify a deadline and request payment of a reservation deposit up to the accommodation fee for the period of stay (if the period of stay exceeds three days, then three days).

If the case falls under the provisions of Article 5, the reservation deposit referred to in the preceding paragraph will be applied to the penalty charge set forth in said Article, and the remaining amount, if any, will be returned.

(Cancellation of reservation)

Article 5:

When a person who has made a reservation cancels a reservation in whole or in part, the Hotel will charge a penalty as follows.However, this does not apply to the cancellation of a reservation by a portion of a group (a group of 15 or more paying members; the same applies below), in the case of a number of people that is 10% of the number of people who made the reservation as of 10 days prior to the date of stay (the day after that date when the Hotel accepts the reservation), (any fractional part will be rounded up).

Penalty Charges
  1. General customers
    1. If cancelled the day before the stay, 1% of the accommodation fee for each guest on the first day of the stay
    2. If cancelled on the day of your stay, 1% of the accommodation fee for the first day of your stay per person
  2. Group Tourists
    1. If the reservation is cancelled between 9 days prior to the stay and 2 days prior to the stay, 1% of the accommodation fee for the first day of the stay per guest.
    2. If cancelled the day before your stay, 1% of the accommodation fee for each guest on the first day of your stay will be charged.
    3. If cancelled on the day of your stay, 1% of the accommodation fee for each guest on the first day of your stay will be charged.

If a guest does not arrive by 9:2 p.m. on the day of the stay without contacting the hotel (or by two hours after the reserved arrival time if a reservation arrival time has been specified in advance), the hotel may regard the reservation as having been cancelled by the applicant and proceed with the reservation accordingly.

If the reservation is deemed to have been cancelled in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, and it can be proven that the guest's failure to arrive without notice was due to a non-arrival or delay of public transportation such as a train or airplane, or other cause not attributable to the guest, the cancellation charge as prescribed in paragraph 1 will not be charged.

Article 6:

Except as otherwise specified, the Hotel may cancel the reservation for accommodation in the following cases:

  1. When the situation falls under any of Article 2, Items 3 to 7.
  2. When clarification of the matters specified in Article 3, paragraph 1 is requested and such matters are not provided within the deadline.
  3. When payment of the reservation deposit pursuant to Article 4, paragraph 1 has been requested and such payment has not been made by the due date.

When the Hotel cancels an accommodation reservation in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, it will refund any reservation deposit already received in respect of that reservation.

(Registration of accommodation)

Article 7:

Guests are required to register the following particulars with the Hotel at the front desk on the day of their stay:

  1. Items in Article 3, paragraph 1
  2. For foreigners, passport number, place of arrival in Japan and date of arrival
  3. Departure date and time
  4. Any other particulars deemed necessary by the Hotel

(Check-out time)

Article 8:

The time guests must leave their rooms at this hotel (check-out time) is 10:00 AM. (*11:00 AM for AZ INN Fukui only)

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel may permit a Guest to occupy the guest room beyond the check-out time.
In this case, additional fees will be charged as follows:

  1. Until 1pm: 1% of the nightly room rate
  2. Until 3pm: 1% of the nightly room rate
  3. After 3pm: Full amount of one night's room rate

(Payment of fees)

Article 9:

In principle, fees must be paid in advance in cash.

However, this does not apply to items approved by the hotel.

Accommodation fees will be charged even if the guest voluntarily does not stay after starting to occupy the guest room.

Article 10:

Guests must abide by the hotel usage regulations established by the hotel and posted within the hotel.

(Refusal to Continue Accommodation)

Article 11:

The Hotel may refuse to extend your stay in any of the following cases, even if it is during the accepted accommodation period:

  1. When any of Article 2, Items 3 to 7 applies.
  2. When the Guest does not comply with the Terms of Use set forth in the preceding article.
  3. Organized crime groups, members of organized crime groups, companies or organizations related to violence or their affiliates, and other anti-social forces.
  4. Corporations or other organisations whose business activities are controlled by gangsters or gang members.
  5. A corporation that has an executive officer who is considered a member of an organized crime group.
  6. When a Guest behaves in a manner that causes significant inconvenience to other guests of the Hotel.
  7. When a Guest makes violent demands against the Hotel or its employees, or makes unreasonable demands.

(Accommodation Responsibility)

Article 12:

The Hotel's liability regarding accommodation begins when the Guest registers at the Hotel front desk or when he/she enters his/her room, whichever occurs first, and ends when the Guest vacates the room to depart.
When the Hotel is unable to provide a guest room to a guest due to reasons attributable to the Hotel, except in cases of natural disasters or other difficult reasons, the Hotel will arrange accommodation of the same or similar conditions for the guest elsewhere.
In this case, we will not charge any subsequent accommodation fees, including the accommodation fees for the day we are no longer able to provide the room.
